I’m a father of three and proud to call Te Atatu home. It’s a fabulous place to raise a family and a wonderful community to be a part of. We’re lucky to have such great local schools, sports clubs and community organisations; many of which receive funding from the Trust.

I firmly believe that competition would be good for West Auckland, but also that the Trust could be better, and could give back better, with or without the monopoly. More choice, greater transparency and increasing community funding are all possible.

As part of the Trusts Action Group, I advocate for change. We have achieved some positive changes already but there is still heaps to do. More local options for dining, drinking and entertainment. Fairer prices. More community funding. Fewer pokies. No more land-banking. Increased transparency.

Change is needed and I believe I have the skills to help improve the Trust.
